    • UDAN 5.1:
      • The Ministry of Civil Aviation has launched UDAN 5.1 to further enhance the connectivity to remote areas of the country and achieve last mile connectivity through helicopters.
      • For the first time under RCS-UDAN, this round is designed specifically for helicopter routes


  • Atal Bhujal Yojana:
    • It was launched in 2020.
    • ​Ministry of Jal Shakti is implementing the Atal Bhujal Yojna.
    • The goal of Atal Bhujal Yojana is to demonstrate community-led sustainable groundwater management.
    • The major objective of the Atal Bhujal Yojna is to improve the management of groundwater resources in select water-stressed areas in the identified states viz. Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.


  • PARAKH has been launched as part of the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020 that envisaged a standard-setting body to advise school boards regarding new assessment patterns and latest research, and promote collaborations between them.
  • It will act as a constituent unit of the NCERT.
  • It will also be tasked with holding periodic learning outcome tests like the National Achievement Survey (NAS) and State Achievement Surveys.


  • In a bid to curb pollution, the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has approved old vehicle scrapping policy for the state.
  • For scrapping 15 years old vehicles the state government would provide a 50 per cent rebate in taxes and penalties and 75 per cent in the case of 20 years old vehicles.
  • The Centre will provide ₹ 300 crore for this as assistance.
  • The Ministry of Road Transport of the Central government issued a draft notification in which all 15-year-old vehicles of the Central and State Governments will have to be scrapped.

    • The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the Production Linked Incentive Scheme 2.0 for IT Hardware with a budgetary outlay Rs. 17,000 crore.

  • The Jal Jeevan Mission has achieved a milestone of providing 12 crore tap water connections to rural households in India on 16 May 2023.
  • The mission has been successful in providing tap water connections to over 50% of rural households in the country.
