AFCAT Full Selection Process and Eligibility Criteria: The selection process of AFCAT examination is conducted by the Indian Air Force (IAF). Through this entry, one can join the Flying branch, technical branch, and Ground Duty branches, etc. The selection process will consist of all the round including the Exam score, Interview and Group Discussion. AFCAT Eligibility Qualification & Age:

Category Education Qualification Age limit
AFCAT i) Candidate must have a graduation degree in any discipline with 60% marks.

ii) Passed Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from an Education Board listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks.

19 Yrs – 24 Yrs

AFCAT is basically knowns for the easiest written exam. The written exam is very easy but the competition is very tough. There are very few seats in AFCAT around 25-30 seats in all over India. you just have to do better than other candidates. Try to attempt maximum questions. and Do your best subjects first in which you can tick maximum correct answers.

Interview Process:

i) Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for AFSB interview on their E-mail or through SMS as provided by candidates in their application form. You are advised to maintain your mobile number and e-mail ID till selection process is complete.

ii) AFSB interview will be conducted in two stages. Stage I test consists of Intelligence test, Picture Perception and Group Discussion. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II test comprises Psychological testing, Group testing and Interview which will last for 04 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination (approx duration 03-05 working days).

iii) Change of AFSB venue for interview is not permissible.

iv) Any correspondence regarding further change of AFSB date is to be addressed to the Call up Officer of the concerned AFSB. Award of fresh dates for AFSB would be subject to availability of batches/slots.

v) No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained as a result of tests.

vi) AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the AFSB interview, if appearing for the first time for particular type of commission on production of tickets. Candidates are required to carry photo copy of the first page of bank passbook or cheque leaf where the name, account No. and IFS Code details are mentioned while appearing for AFSB.

All India Merit List:

At final step An All India Merit List will be declared. This list is compiled on the basis of your performance in the written test and AFSB interview, subject to being medically fit. Also the merit list depends on the vacancies available in various branches / sub branches, joining instructions are issued to join one of the Training establishments.
