Educational Qualification
- For LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ (except DEOs in Department/ Ministry): The candidates who are planning to appear in the CHSL 2024 exam must have passed the 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
- For Data Entry Operator (DEO)/ DEO Grade ‘A’ in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Ministry of Culture): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

SSC CHSL Tier 1 Selection Process 2024
- The SSC CHSL Tier 1 Selection Process for the year 2024 is a Computer Based Examination that consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- For a total of 200 marks,
- 0.5 negative markings for each incorrect answer.
- The duration of the exam is 1 hour or 60 minutes.
- The questions will be available in both English and Hindi languages for Parts II, III & IV. The online examination is divided into four sections:

SSC CHSL Selection Process 2024 Tie Case Resolution
In the event of a tie between two or more candidates in the SSC CHSL Selection Process 2024, the tie will be resolved using the following priorities:
- Aggregate marks scored by the candidates in the written Exam: The candidate with higher aggregate marks in the written exam (Tier 1 and Tier 2 combined) will be given preference.
- Older candidates will be given preference: If the tie still persists, the older candidate among the tied candidates will be given preference.
- Candidate’s names in alphabetical order: If the tie still exists, the candidates’ names will be arranged in alphabetical order, and the candidate whose name comes first will be given preference.
