NDA & NA Selection Process Full Details NDA Exam is conducted for recruiting candidates for Army, Navy and Air Force in NDA (National Defence Academy) and Naval Academy. The Selection Procedure for NDA is divided into 2 stages – Written Examination and Interview.In this article we will discuss complete details of  NDA exam which is conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) Exam Procedure, Eligibility Criteria and Age limit for NDA etc in this article.

Educational Qualification:

 NDA & NA Educational Qualification
 Army Wing of National Defence Academy 12th Class pass (Any Stream) conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
 Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence 12th Class pass with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Age Limit of NDA :

This written exam is  first step in the process of NDA & NA job.This exam paper stranded is Intermediate.total exam pattern,total marks and duration time is given below table.

i) There are four alternatives for the answer to every question. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the
candidate. One third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.

ii) If a candidate given more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the given answers happens to be
correct and there will be same penalty as above for that Question

iii) If a question is left blank . no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

SSB Interview Process:

i) Shortlisted candidates will be informed selection for SSB interview on their E-mail or through SMS as provided by candidates in their application form.

ii) SSB interview will be conducted in two stages. Stage I test consists of Intelligence test, Picture Perception and Group Discussion. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II test comprises Psychological testing, Group testing and Interview which will last for 04 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination (approx duration 03-05 working days).

iii) Change of SSB venue for interview is not permissible.

iv) Any correspondence regarding further change of SSB date is to be addressed to the Call up Officer of the concerned SSB. Award of fresh dates for SSB would be subject to
availability of batches/slots.

v) No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained as a result of tests.

vi) AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for particular type of commission on production of tickets. Candidates are required to
carry photo copy of the first page of bank passbook or cheque leaf where the name, account No. and IFS Code details are mentioned while appearing for SSB.

Physical Standards:

(a) The minimum height for entry into ground duty branches will be 157.5cm.Gorkhas and individuals belonging to North Eastern regions of India and hilly. regions of Uttarakhand, the minimum acceptable height will be 5 cm less (152.5cm). In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cm (155.5 cm).

(b) Minimum height for Flying Branch will be 162.5 cm. Acceptable measurements of leg length, thigh length and sitting height for such aircrew will.

Physical Fitness Test(PFT):

(a) Running 2.4 km in 15 minutes

(b) Skipping

(c) Pushups and sit ups (minimum 20 each)

(d) Chin ups (minimum 08)

(e) Rope climbing 3-4 metres.

b) Tatto medical test:
Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reversed side of palm/ back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on
any other part of the body is not acceptable and candidate will be barred from recruitment.

Traning Process:

The selected candidates of the Naval Academy will be given preliminary training both academic and physical, for a period of 04 years at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. The cadets of 10+2 Cadet Entry
Scheme will be awarded a B. Tech Degree on successful completion of training.
